Aleppo:

Unknown explosion targeted a fuel shop in front of Al-Kabir mosque in the center of Al-Bab city. According to the reports, nine civilians were killed and 17 wounded by the explosion. Several sources reported that the source of the explosion was a fuel tank.

Idlib:

Faylaq al-Sham mediated another ceasefire between Hayat Tahrir al-Sham and Jabhat Tahrir Suriya (Ahrar al-Sham and Harakat Nour al-Deen al-Zenki). Faylaq al-Sham’s official, Omar Hudhayfah stated that the ceasefire will last for a week, starting at midnight. During the week of the ceasefire, the two parties are expected to meet and negotiate a long-term ceasefire.

Improvised explosive device targeted a vehicle of the Free Syrian Army’s Jaysh al-Izza on the road between Khan Sheikhoun and Kafr Sajna. The explosion killed two Jaysh al-Izza’s commanders; Nasr Azkour (Abu Marwan) and Abdul Rahman al-Diri. One element of Jaysh al-Izaa was also wounded by the explosion.

Hama:

Turkish Armed Forces established two observations points in northern Hama. The first point was established at Tell al-Sawan east of Morek, while the second point was established west of Lahaya village. Faylaq al-Sham and Ahrar al-Sham accompanied Turkish Armed Forces, as the latter was entering northern Hama.

Damascus:

Syrian Arab Army’s artillery and Syrian Arab Air Force targeted Douma in the East Ghouta. According to the Syrian Civil Defense (The White Helmets), seven civilians were killed and dozens wounded by the targeting of Douma.

Jaysh al-Islam in Douma shelled Al-Mezze 86, Al-Omawiyin, Abu Ramaneh, and Ash al-Warwar areas of the city of Damascus. According to the Syrian Arab News Agency, six civilians were killed and 37 wounded by the shelling of the aforementioned areas.

Syrian Arab Army started a military operation against Jaysh al-Islam in the city of Douma, after the evacuation deal between the two was violated by the latter. Syrian Arab Army reportedly made advances in the farms area all around Douma and reached the western outskirts of the city. Jaysh al-Islam’s spokesman, Hamza Birqdar claimed that the group repelled Syrian Arab Army’s attack from Harasta front, killing 17 soldiers and destroying a bulldozer and a BMP. Birqdar also claimed that an attack from Misraba front was repelled and one armored vehicle destroyed.

Daraa:

Islamic State-affiliated Jaysh Khalid ibn al-Walid’s sniper killed an element of the Free Syrian Army’s Jaysh al-Thawra on the frontline in the village of Hayt.

Afghanistan

Jowzjan Province:

Islamic State’s leader of Jowzjan Province, Qari Hikmat and his aide were killed by a drone strike in Sardara area of Derzab district. Islamic State’s elements reportedly chose Mawlavi Habib al-Rahman as Hikmat’s successor. Al-Rahman is from Sholgara district in the neighboring Balkh Province.

Badakhshan Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed eight elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (Taliban) and destroyed three fighting positions in Jurm district.

Sar-e Pol Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan overran two Afghan National Army’s checkpoints in the city of Sar-e Pol, killing three and wounding three soldiers in the process. Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan seized a PK machine gun and two assault rifles from the checkpoints.

Nangarhar Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed four elements of the Islamic State in Achin district.

Paktia Province:

National Directorate of Security arrested a suicide bomber in the city of Gardez, capital of Paktia Province. Reports suggest that the attacker is affiliated with Haqqani network and was planning to conduct an attack in the city on the behalf of the group.

Badghis Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s sniper killed two elements of the Afghan National Army in Joy Ganj area of Murghab district.

Herat Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed five elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Chishti Sharif district.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan attacked Afghan National Army’s checkpoint in Bala Shahr area of Shindand district, killing Afghan National Army’s commander Raz Muhammad and another element of the army.

Residents of two villages in Bazano area of Gulran district pledged their allegiance to the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan. The two villages contain more than 200 families.

Six elements of the Afghan Local Police surrendered to the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Dya Gol area of Obe district.

Ghor Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan overran two Afghan National Army’s checkpoints in Sang Dori area of Shahrak district, killing five and wounding six soldiers in the process. Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan seized 12 motorcycles and two assault rifles from the checkpoints.

Ghazni Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed six elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan and destroyed two vehicles in Qarabagh district.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan ambushed Afghan National Police’s foot patrol in the city of Ghazni, killing one and wounding two policemen.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s sniper killed an element of the Afghan Local Police in Ab Band district.

Paktika Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan ambushed Afghan National Police’s elements in Gomal district, killing three and wounding two policemen.

Urozgan Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed six and wounded four elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, as well as destroyed two enemy bases in Chora district.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan captured two Afghan National Army’s checkpoints in Seydano area of Khas Urozgan district, after the latter withdrew from the checkpoints.

Zabul Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan attacked Afghan National Army’s post on Kandahar – Kabul highway in Khan Shamulzaie area of Qalat district. Three elements of the Afghan National Army were killed and two wounded, while one element of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan was killed in the encounter.

Nimruz Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan ambushed Afghan National Army’s elements in Shishawi area of Khash Rod district, killing one and wounding one soldier.

Helmand Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s snipers killed four elements of the Afghan National Army and Afghan Local Police in Nawa-I-Barakzayi and Lashkar Gah districts.

Kandahar Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s improvised explosive device destroyed an Afghan National Army’s vehicle in Badi Karez area of Shorabak district.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s snipers killed and wounded six elements of the Afghan National Army in Wam area of Arghandab district.

CJTF-OIR:

CJTF-OIR announced a change in their publishing policy. Now two strikes reports will be published each week, on Mondays and Fridays.

Islamic State reportedly killed 13 elements of the Philippine Army in Batikol area on Jolo island, Sulu province.
