Aleppo:

Hayat Tahrir al-Sham repelled Jabhat Tahrir Suriya’s (Ahrar al-Sham and Harakat Nour al-Deen al-Zenki) attack on Blanta village in western Aleppo.

Idlib:

Hayat Tahrir al-Sham clashed with Jabhat Tahrir Suriya, backed by Suqour al-Sham in and around Al-Rima, Al-Jarada, Marayan, Al-Bayadha and Ihsim. Reports suggest that six civilians were wounded by the mutual shelling and clashes in Ihsim.

Hama:

Turkish Armed Forces’ delegation entered northern Hama second time this week, visiting Kafr Zeita, Tell Fas, Lahaya, Morek, and Al-Siyad. The delegation inspected surrounding areas for the future establishment of an observation point in the region. The delegation was accompanied by Faylaq al-Sham, Ahrar al-Sham, and Free Syrian Army’s Jaysh al-Izza.

Damascus:

Syrian Arab Army’s artillery and Syrian Arab Air Force targeted Douma in the East Ghouta. According to the Syrian Civil Defense (The White Helmets), 30 civilians were killed by the targeting of Douma.

Jaysh al-Islam in Douma shelled Al-Wafideen camp and Harasta, as well as Al-Mezze 86, Al-Rabwa, and Barzeh areas of the city of Damascus. According to the Syrian Arab News Agency, four civilians were killed and 22 wounded by the shelling of the aforementioned areas.

Evacuation of Jaysh al-Islam’s elements and their families from Douma in the East Ghouta through Al-Wafideen camp to Jarabulus is canceled, after the evacuation agreement was violated. Syrian Arab News Agency stated that Jaysh al-Islam refused to release prisoners in Douma, which nullified the evacuation agreement. After the agreement was voided, mutual shelling between the Syrian Arab Army and Jaysh al-Islam started around Douma.

Improvised explosive device targeted a civilian vehicle near Al-Khanasa mosque in Barzeh neighborhood of the city of Damascus. Reports suggest that the explosion killed one and wounded six civilians. No one has claimed responsibility for the explosion so far.

Afghanistan

Jowzjan Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed two elements of the Islamic State in Derzab district. Islamic State’s sniper reportedly killed two elements of the Afghan National Army in the province.

Balkh Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s (Taliban) Al-Emarah News stated that the group repelled Afghan National Security Forces’ offensive in Chimtal district, killing and wounding 36 elements, as well as destroying a tank. Yesterday, Afghan Ministry of Defense stated that 13 elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan were killed and seven wounded in Chimtal district.

Kunduz Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed five and wounded seven elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, as well as seized a vehicle in Khan Abad district.

Sar-e Pol Province:

Afghan National Security Forces continued Walid 3 operation against the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Shirem area of Gosfandi district. Afghan Ministry of Defense stated that 14 elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan were killed and six wounded, as well as five bases destroyed in the operation. One of the 14 killed elements is the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s commander Qari Amin.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan overran Afghan National Army’s checkpoint in Adrang area of the city of Sar-e Pol. Ten elements of the Afghan National Army were reportedly killed in the encounter, while the remaining elements withdrew from the checkpoint. Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan seized two DShK heavy machine guns, an RPG launcher, two PK machine guns, and eight assault rifles from the checkpoint and the killed elements.

Baghlan Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s improvised explosive device killed two and wounded one element of the Afghan Local Police in Baghlan-e-Markazi district.

Nuristan Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed two and wounded three elements of the Islamic State in Nurgram district. Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan seized Afghan National Police’s post in Nugram district, killing three and wounding seven policemen.

Kunar Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed two elements of the Islamic State in Dara-I-Pech district.

Laghman Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed five elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Alishang district.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan seized an Afghan Local Police’s post in the city of Mihtarlam, capital of Laghman Province. Four elements of the Afghan Local Police were killed and five wounded in the encounter. Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan seized three assault rifles from the killed elements.

Two elements of the Afghan Local Police surrendered to the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan with their weapons in Alishang district.

Nangarhar Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed four and wounded four elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Sherzad and Bati Kot districts.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s improvised explosive device destroyed a National Directorate of Security’s vehicle, killing three elements in the city of Jalalabad, capital of Nangarhar Province.

Logar Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan assassinated Afghan Local Police’s commander, Mohammad Gul in Baraki Barak district.

Herat Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan raided two Afghan National Army’s checkpoints in Dahna Ab area of Obe district, reportedly killing two and wounding one soldier.

Ghazni Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed three elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Qarabagh district. Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s improvised explosive device killed two and wounded two elements of the Afghan National Police in Qarabagh district.

Farah Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan overran Afghan National Army’s checkpoint in Gul Maikh area of Farah Rod. Afghan National Army’s commander, Abdul Rahman and three other elements of the army were killed in the encounter, while the remaining elements withdrew from the area. Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan seized a PK machine gun, and RPG launcher, and five assault rifles from the checkpoint.

Zabul Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed two and wounded four elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Arghandab district.

Three Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s elements infiltrated Afghan National Army’s Shah Wali checkpoint in Arghandab district, and reportedly opened fire on the elements stationed at the checkpoint. Reports suggest that the infiltrators killed Afghan National Army’s commander and four other elements of the army, before overrunning the checkpoint. The infiltrators seized an RPG launcher, 11 assault rifles, and a PK machine gun from the checkpoint and linked up with the nearby Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s elements.

Helmand Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s snipers killed three elements of the Afghan National Army and Afghan Local Police in Nad Ali and Nawa-I-Barakzayi districts.

Kandahar Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s sniper reportedly killed two elements of the Afghan National Army in Chinar area of Shah Wali Kot district. Similarly, an element of the Afghan National Army was killed by a sniper in Miyanishin district.

CJTF-OIR:

Between the 30th of March and the 5th of April 2018 CJTF-OIR has conducted three strikes in Syria. CJTF-OIR‘s main focus in Syria at the moment is Deir al-Zour-Albu Kamal region where they did two strikes supporting SDF‘s operations against IS destroying an IS vehicle.

Other area where one strike occurred is Al-Shadaddi, destroying an IS vehicle. Full report on CJTF-OIR strikes conducted in both Syria & Iraq can be found here.
