Aleppo:

General Commander of the Free Syrian Army’s Al-Jabhat al-Shamiya (Levant Front), Hossam Yassin announced his resignation from the position in the group. Al-Jabhat al-Shamiya’s Shura Council approved Yassin’s resignation, without mentioning the reasons for the resignation.

Rebel “guerrilla” group Harakat al-Qiyam assassinated four elements of the Syrian Democratic Forces in the northern Aleppo region.

Idlib:

Syrian Arab Air Force conducted air raids over Jisr al-Shughur, Ariha, Al-Barah, Al-Ghassaniyah, Al-Kastan, Al-Taibat, and Al-Naqir. According to the reports, two civilians were killed and 15 wounded by the air raids over Ariha.

Several scholars, sheikhs, and civic activists launched an initiative called “Union of Popular Initiatives”, in order to stop the fighting between Hayat Tahrir al-Sham and Jabhat Tahrir Suriya (Ahrar al-Sham and Harakat Nour al-Deen al-Zenki). Leader of the initiative is Sheikh Abu Muhammad al-Sadiq, backed by Faylaq al-Sham’s official Sheikh Omar Hudhayfah, Sheikh Abdullah al-Muhaysini, Sheikh Abdul Razzaq al-Mahdi, and Sheikh Musalah al-Olayan. The initiative called on the two parties to announce immediate ceasefire, and conduct a meeting with a delegation. Jabhat Tahrir Suriya announced it agrees with the initiative and immediate ceasefire, however, under the condition that Hayat Tahrir al-Sham also agrees. Hayat Tahrir al-Sham remained silent on the matter for now.

Damascus:

Third batch of Jaysh al-Islam’s elements and their families started evacuating from Douma in the East Ghouta through Al-Wafideen camp to Jarabulus. Syrian Arab News Agency stated that so far eight buses carrying 424 fighters and civilians were evacuated. Syrian Arab News Agency also stated that 1198 fighters and civilians were evacuated in total yesterday.

Syrian Arab Army freed five individuals who were imprisoned by Jaysh al-Islam in Douma. The individuals were freed by the group, as part of the evacuation agreement. Jaysh al-Islam will release more individuals in batches, as the evacuation from the East Ghouta continues.

Afghanistan

Faryab Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (Taliban) attacked Afghan National Army’s positions in Naghaly area of Almar district, reportedly destroying two tanks and killing two soldiers.

Sar-e Pol Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed ten and wounded four elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, as well as seized four motorcycles and several weapons depots and ammunition caches in the province.

Kapisa Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed an element of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Tagab district.

Laghman Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed one and wounded one element of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Alishan district.

Nangarhar Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed four elements of the Islamic State in Deh Bala (Haska Meyna) district.

Paktia Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed five elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Zurmat district.

Badghis Province:

Afghan National Army’s commander Abdul Qadir and 13 elements of the army defected to the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Gunband area of Qadis district. The defected elements handed over 13 assault rifles and seven motorcycles to the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s sniper killed an element of the Afghan National Army in Loye Qaraqah area of Ghormach district.

Herat Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan attacked Afghan National Police’s foot patrol and wounded two policemen in Bazar area of Adraskan district.

Farah Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan ambushed and killed two elements of the Afghan National Police in Shewan area of Bala Buluk district.

Urozgan Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan overran three Afghan National Army’s and one Afghan Local Police’s base in Khas Urozgan district. Reports suggest that the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan killed 35 and arrested 14 elements in the attacks.

Zabul Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed four and wounded seven elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Arghandab district. Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s sniper killed two elements of the Afghan National Army in Lodinyano area of Arghandab district.

Helmand Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s snipers reportedly killed four elements of the Afghan National Army, Afghan National Police, and Afghan Local Police in Lashkar Gah, Nad Ali, and Nawa-I-Barakzayi districts.

Kandahar Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan attacked Afghan National Army’s vehicle in Karez Salim area of Zhari district. Afghan National Army’s commander Pahlawan and three elements of the army were wounded in the attack.

Afghan Border Police’s element surrendered to the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Maruf district.

CJTF-OIR:

CJTF-OIR announced a change in their publishing policy. Now two strikes reports will be published each week, on Mondays and Fridays.
