Aleppo:

Free Syrian Army’s Firqat al-Hamza dismissed three of its elements, due to a lack of compliance with the group’s rules and procedures, as well as due to the abuse of civilians. Similarly, Al-Jabhat al-Shamiyah (Levant Front) belonging to Al-Jaysh al-Watani al-Suri’s (Syrian National Army) Faylaq al-Thalith (Third Corps/Legion) dismissed two of its elements, due to a violation of the directives of the General Command. Al-Jabhat al-Shamiyah also prohibited the dismissed elements from joining any faction/body affiliated with Al-Jaysh al-Watani al-Suri.

CJTF-OIR released a statement announcing death of two and injury of five of its personnel, due to an improvised explosive device. The incident took place near the city of Manbij. One of the two killed elements was from the United Kingdom, while the other element was from the United States.

Demonstrations against the Syrian government, Hayat Tahrir al-Sham, and the latter’s leader, Abu Mohammad al-Jolani were held in Qubtan al-Jabal village, west of Aleppo.

Idlib:

Demonstrations were held in Saraqib demanding that Turkey intervenes in the governorate, in order to ensure security and safety of the people. Around 100 people took part in the demonstration, carrying the flags of the Syrian National Coalition (Free Syrian Army) and Turkey.

Homs:

Several rebel factions in the Northern Homs pocket merged into “Higher Military Command”, under the umbrella of the Syrian Interim Government’s Al-Jaysh al-Watani al-Suri (Syrian National Army). The merger was initiated by Harakat Tahrir Watan and consists of; Harakat Tahrir Watan, Al-Jaysh al-Watani al-Suri’s Al-Faylaq al-Rabea (Fourth Corps/Legion), Jaysh al-Tawhid, Jaysh Homs, Jaysh al-Izza, Faylaq al-Sham, and Al-Houla operations room. Leader of Harakat Tahrir Watan, Major Amer al-Ashqar stated that the merger is aimed at repelling possible, future Syrian Arab Army’s offensive on the region, especially after the battle for the East Ghouta.

Damascus:

Syrian Arab Red Crescent delivered a humanitarian aid convoy to the city of Ain Terma in the East Ghouta, consisting of 12 trucks. The aid was distributed to the people of Ain Terma, Jobar, Arbeen, and Zamalka.

Seventh batch of Faylaq al-Rahman’s elements and their families were evacuated from Arbeen in the East Ghouta to Idlib. Syrian Arab News Agency stated that 4849 individuals, including 1485 fighters were evacuated today.

Iraq

Salah al-Deen:

Islamic State’s Amaq Agency stated that a sniper killed two elements of Al-Hashd al-Shaabi in Jalam al-Dour area, east of Samarra.

Afghanistan

Jowzjan Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed two elements of the Islamic State and destroyed a vehicle in Derzab district.

Kunduz Province:

Takhar Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed two and wounded two elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (Taliban) in Khawajah Bahawodin district.

Kunar Province:

Islamic State killed one and captured one element of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, during clashes between the two in Manuki area.

Islamic State attacked Afghan National Army’s military base in Wata Pur district, killing one soldier.

Laghman Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s sniper killed an element of the Afghan Local Police in Dawlat Shah district.

Nangarhar Province:

Paktia Province:

Two Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s improvised explosive devices killed four and wounded three elements of the Afghan National Army in Ahmed Khel district.

Khost Province:

Several Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s improvised explosive devices targeted Afghan Local Police’s vehicle, killing a commander and another element of the police.

Herat Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan killed two and wounded one element of the Afghan National Army in Shair Abad area of Shindand district. Separately, two elements of the Afghan National Army were arrested by the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Changan area of Shindand district.

Ghor Province:

Residents of five villages; Pai Baisha, Ghali Zard Alia, Ghali Zard Safli, Godram, and Kharnaj Safli, pledged their allegiance to the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, under the leadership of commander Nour Ahmand and three tribal elders; Mavlavi Abdul Hai, Haj Nasrullah, and Farouq. The aforementioned villages contain around 430 families. Commander Nour Ahmad handed over 230 weapons to the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan. Similarly, residents of Kandakh area in the same district also pledged their allegiance to the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, under the leadership of Muhammad Ishaq and Abdul Samad, who handed over 200 weapons to the group. More than 300 families inhabit Kandakh area.

Ghazni Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed 16 and wounded 17 elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, as well as destroyed a motorcycle and several weapons depots and ammunition caches in Andar and Qarabagh districts, according to the Afghan Ministry of Defense. One of the 17 wounded elements is Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s commander Umari. Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan killed one and wounded two elements of the Afghan National Police in Qarabagh district.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan attacked Afghan Local Police’s post in Muqur district, reportedly killing two and wounding two policemen.

Urozgan Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed three and wounded two elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Khas Urozgan district.

Nimruz Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s improvised explosive device destroyed Afghan National Army’s armored personnel carrier in Haji Wali Jan area of Delaram district.

Helmand Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s Al-Emarah News claimed that an improvised explosive device destroyed a NATO tank close to Shamalani Ghondi area of Garmsir district. Similarly, Afghan National Army’s vehicle was destroyed by an improvised explosive device on Kandahar highway in Yakchal area of Jerashk district.

CJTF-OIR:

Between the 23th and the 29th of March 2018 CJTF-OIR has conducted seven strikes in Syria. CJTF-OIR‘s main focus in Syria at the moment is Deir al-Zour-Albu Kamal region where they did seven strikes supporting SDF‘s operations against IS destroying a fighting position and an IS-held building.

Islamic State assassinated an element of the Indian Police in Bahjabara area of Jammu and Kashmir state.
