Aleppo:

Turkey-backed Free Syrian Army, backed by Turkish Air and Land Forces captured four localities from the Syrian Democratic Forces’ YPG in Afrin region, as a part of the operation ‘Olive Branch’ (AR: Ghasin al-Zaytun, TR: Zeytin Dalı). Free Syrian Army captured Baai, Basoufan, Kafr Nabu, and Burj Haidar south of Afrin.

Turkish Armed Forces announced death of three of its elements, due to an improvised explosive device in the city of Afrin. This announcement brings Turkish Armed Forces death toll in the operation ‘Olive Branch’ to 49 elements.

Idlib:

Russian Air Force and Syrian Arab Air Force conducted air raids over Binnish and Harem. Reports suggest that the air raids over Binnish wounded 12 civilians, while the Syrian Civil Defense (The White Helmets) stated that at least 30 civilians were killed and dozens wounded by the air raids over Harem.

Hayat Tahrir al-Sham and Jabhat Tahrir Suriya (Ahrar al-Sham and Harakat Nour al-Deen al-Zenki) are expected to start clashing with each other soon, as the temporary ceasefire between the two ended today, as the parties were unable to successfully negotiate a long-term truce. Suqour al-Sham stated that the ceasefire ended today because Hayat Tahrir al-Sham’s leader, Abu Muhammad al-Jolani refused Jabhat Tahrir Suriya’s proposals and demanded that Jabhat Tahrir Suriya hands over localities captured from Hayat Tahrir al-Sham, while Hayat Tahrir al-Sham would keep localities captured from Jabhat Tahrir Suriya.

Damascus:

Syrian Arab Army’s artillery and Syrian Arab Air Force targeted Douma, Arbeen, Zamalka, and Hazeh in the East Ghouta. According to the Syrian Civil Defense (The White Helmets), three civilians were killed and several wounded by the targeting of Arbeen.

Rebel forces in the East Ghouta shelled Arnous, Abu Ramaneh, Al-Duwaileah, and Barzeh areas of the city of Damascus. According to the Syrian Arab News Agency, four civilians were killed and 14 wounded by the shelling of the aforementioned localities.

Evacuation of civilians from the East Ghouta continued today through Al-Wafideen crossing, north of Douma. Reports suggest that between three and five thousands civilians from Douma, as well as displaced civilians from Mesraba and Al-Shifuniyah entered Syrian Arab Army-held areas.

Syrian Arab Army made additional limited advances against Faylaq al-Rahman in Ain Terma, and captured the group’s operations room and several tunnels in the locality.

Evacuation of Ahrar al-Sham’s elements and civilians from Harasta to Idlib started today. Syrian Arab News Agency stated that 1580 individuals, including 413 fighters were evacuated today.

Daraa:

Russian Air Force targeted Free Syrian Army’s guard post in the vicinity of the abandoned battalion near Saida. Four elements of the Free Syrian Army’s Liwa Ahrar al-Janoub were wounded by the targeting of the post.

Iraq

Kirkuk:

Islamic State launched an attack against the Iraqi Army on Alas oil field area, southwest of Kirkuk. According to the Islamic State’s Amaq Agency, five elements of the Iraqi Army were killed and four vehicles destroyed in the attack.

Afghanistan

Faryab Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed four and wounded six elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (Taliban) in Pashtun Kot district. Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan arrested Afghan National Army’s commander Noor Ahmad and his guard, during the group’s attack in Chaqair Balaq and Bor Galik areas of Pashtun Kot district.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan ambushed a group of Afghan National Army’s elements in Jalguldi area of Chilgazy district, killing one and wounding two soldiers.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s sniper killed Afghan National Army’s commander, Zalmi in Faiz Abad area of Shirin Tagab district.

Jowzjan Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed two elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Qarmqal district.

Kunduz Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s sniper killed Afghan Local Police’s commander, Zainuddin in Archi (Dasht-e Archi) district.

Takhar Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan overran and destroyed four Afghan Local Police’s posts in Khwaja Ghar district. Two elements of the Afghan Local Police were killed and two wounded, as well as a tank destroyed in the encounters.

Kabul Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan ambushed and killed five elements of the Afghan National Police, as well as destroyed a vehicle in Surobi district.

Nangarhar Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed four elements of the Islamic State in Achin district.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan raided Afghan National Police’s post in Ghani Khel district, reportedly killing one and wounding three policemen.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s sniper killed an element of the Afghan Local Police in Achin district.

Paktia Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan raided Afghan National Police’s post in Gardez city, reportedly killing three policemen.

Ghazni Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan overran Afghan National Police’s post in Chaghto district. Three elements of the Afghan National Police and one element of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan were killed in the encounter. Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan seized a PK machine gun, and two assault rifles from the post.

Farah Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed 11 elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Bala Buluk, Anar Dara, and Khaki Safed districts.

Urozgan Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed 32 and wounded 23 elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, as well as destroyed a base and several weapons depots and ammunition caches in Khas Urozgan, Chora, and Tarinkot districts, according to the Afghan Ministry of Defense.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan overran Afghan National Police’s checkpoint in Gograk area of Tarinkot district. Four elements of the Afghan National Police were reportedly killed and three wounded in the encounter, while the remaining elements withdrew from the area.

Helmand Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan overran Afghan National Police’s checkpoint in Awal Shishak area of Lashkar Gah district. Five elements of the Afghan National Police were killed in the encounter, while the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan seized four assault rifles from the killed elements.

Two elements of the Afghan National Police defected to the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Sara Shakh area of Nahri Saraj district. The defected elements handed over two PK machine guns, an RPG launcher, and an assault rifle to the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan.
