Aleppo:

Turkey-backed Free Syrian Army, backed by Turkish Air and Land Forces captured 11 localities from the Syrian Democratic Forces’ YPG in Afrin region, as a part of the operation ‘Olive Branch’ (AR: Ghasin al-Zaytun, TR: Zeytin Dalı). Free Syrian Army captured the city of Afrin, as well as Walad al-Arab, Khalil Ushaghi, Dagh Ushaghi camps, and Maabatli in Maabatli subdistrict, Hajj Hasanli camp in Jindires subdistrict, Kamrouz on Sheikh Kharouz front, and Hajj Hasanli, Qantara, Kokhi, and Silou in Afrin region. Reports and footage surfaced of several Free Syrian Army’s elements looting properties in the city of Afrin.

Syrian Democratic Forces’ YPG destroyed a vehicle of the Free Syrian Army with a Konkurs anti-tank guided missile in Alamdara village of Bulbul subdistrict.

Damascus:

Evacuation of civilians from the East Ghouta continued today through Hammouriyah crossing. Syrian Arab News Agency stated that thousands of civilians went through the crossing today, while the Russian Ministry of Defense stated that more than 20 thousands of civilians were evacuated today.

Syrian Arab Army fully captured Saqba and Kafr Batna in the East Ghouta from Faylaq al-Rahman. The capture of Saqba was achieved after an agreement was reached between local elders and Syrian government’s delegation. The agreement states that Faylaq al-Rahman’s elements will withdraw from the locality, while civilians that do not wish to settle their cases will be evacuated to Zamalka and Ain Terma.

Free Syrian Army’s Jaysh Tahrir al-Sham started an operation against the Syrian Arab Army in the Eastern Qalamoun region. Jaysh Tahrir al-Sham’s media official, Omar al-Shami stated that the operation was launched for the East Ghouta. however, it was delayed because several factions in the region refused to participate, forcing Jaysh Tahrir al-Sham to launch the operation alone. Al-Shami also stated that several elements of the Syrian Arab Army were killed and a T-72 tank seized in the operation.

Daraa:

Improvised explosive device killed a commander of the Free Syrian Army’s Liwa al-Khalifa Omar in the city of Simlin, north of Daraa. The explosion also wounded three elements of the group. Liwa al-Khalifa Omar accused Syrian Arab Army of planting the improvised explosive device.

Afghanistan

Faryab Province:

Residents of Darah Zang area of Gurziwan district pledged their allegiance to the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (Taliban). The area contains around 4000 families and is under the leadership of Commander Ghulam Nabi. Residents in the area used to be a part of the Afghan Local Police before the defection. Commander Ghulam Nabi handed over large amounts of weapons and ammunition to the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan.

Jowzjan Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed two elements of the Islamic State and destroyed a vehicle in Qush Tepa district.

Balkh Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s commander, Mullah Salih and two other elements of the group in Chimtal district.

Kunduz Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan launched several attacks against the Afghan National Army at the outskirts of the city of Kunduz. Several elements of the Afghan National Army were reportedly killed and a tank destroyed in the attacks.

Sar-e Pol Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed two elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Sayad district.

Baghlan Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan attacked Afghan National Army’s checkpoint in Khinjan district, wounding three soldiers.

Nangarhar Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed four and arrested three elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, as well as seized a vehicle and several weapons depots and ammunition caches in Ghani Khel district. Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan reported that it repelled Afghan National Security Forces’ offensive in Ghani Khel district, killing six and wounding three elements.

Two Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s improvised explosive devices destroyed Afghan Local Police’s vehicle, as well as killed five and wounded two elements of the local police in Surkh Rod district.

Maidan Wardak Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed eight elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan and seized a motorcycle in Jaghatu district.

Logar Province:

Three elements of the Afghan National Army were wounded in clashes with the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Mohammad Agha district.

Paktia Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed three and wounded two elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in the center of the province.

Ghazni Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed 14 and wounded seven elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Ab Band district.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan seized an Afghan National Police’s position in the city of Ghazni, reportedly killing seven policemen in the process. Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan also engaged Afghan National Army’s reinforcements arriving in the area, reportedly killing one and wounding five soldiers, as well as destroying two tanks. Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan seized five assault rifles and a PK machine gun from the encounter.

Paktika Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan seized and dismantled Afghan Local Police’s post in Jani Khel district, reportedly killing five elements of the police in the process. Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan seized a PK machine gun, four assault rifles, and large quantities of ammunition from the post.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s improvised explosive device killed two and wounded two elements of the Afghan National Army in the city of Sharana, capital of Paktika Province.

Farah Province:

Urozgan Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed two and wounded two elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Deh Rawud district.

Nimruz Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed nine elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan and destroyed two vehicles in Khash Rod and Delaram districts.

Helmand Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed 29 elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, as well as destroyed a fighting position and seized several weapons depots and ammunition caches in Jerashk, Nad Ali, Nahri Saraj, Sangin, and Marjah districts, according to the Afghan Ministry of Defense.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan launched several attacks against Afghan National Army and Afghan National Police’s positions in Sar Khadoz and Terikh Zabar areas of Nawa-I-Barakzayi district. Reports suggest that 27 elements of the Afghan National Army and Afghan National Police were killed and wounded in the attacks.

Islamic State assassinated an element of the Sindh Police in Khair Bor directorate of Sindh province in the southern Pakistan.
