Aleppo:

Turkey-backed Free Syrian Army, backed by Turkish Air and Land Forces captured 16 localities from the Syrian Democratic Forces’ YPG in Afrin region, as a part of the operation ‘Olive Branch’ (AR: Ghasin al-Zaytun, TR: Zeytin Dalı). Free Syrian Army captured Al-Zarqa, Ghalour, and Tellat 1102 in Rajo subdistrict, Maidanki in Sharran subdistrict, Maska Fawqani and Maska Tahtani in Jindires subdistrict, Barika, Jumazanli, Hamu Raju, and Ali Jaro in Shaykh al-Hadid subdistrict, and Jabal Birkush, Al-Mahabiyah, Jawlaqi, Qurazli, Qutan, and Barkashli in Bulbul subdistrict.

Turkish Armed Forces announced death of one of its elements, due to an improvised explosive device in Afrin region. This announcement brings Turkish Armed Forces death toll in the operation ‘Olive Branch’ to 44 elements. Turkish Armed Forces also stated that 3525 elements of the YPG were “neutralized” since the start of the operation ‘Olive Branch’.

Raqqa:

Unknown gunmen assassinated Raqqa Civil Council’s chairman of public relations, Omar Alloush in front of his home in the city of Tell Abyad.

Idlib:

Jabhat Tahrir Suriya (Ahrar al-Sham and Harakat Nour al-Deen al-Zenki) and Hayat Tahrir al-Sham clashed in and around Khan al-Sabil and Deir Sunbul. Reports suggest that one civilian was killed and several wounded in the clashes between the two parties in the aforementioned localities.

Hama:

Evacuated individuals from Al-Qadam neighborhood were transferred back to Qalat al-Madiq in the western Hama, after their entry was denied into rebel areas of the northern Aleppo, due to lack of coordination with the parties involved in the transfer. Several sources report that only seven buses carrying 200 individuals are back to Qalat al-Madiq, while other sources suggest that 40 buses carrying around 1300 individuals were transported back to Qalat al-Madiq.

Homs:

Syrian Arab Army’s artillery shelled Al-Amiriyah village in the rebel Northern Homs pocket. Reports suggest that the shelling killed three and wounded two elements of Ahrar al-Sham.

Deir al-Zour:

Islamic State’s Amaq Agency reported that a sniper killed two elements of the Syrian Arab Army in the vicinity of Al-Bukamal (Albu Kamal).

Damascus:

Syrian Arab Army’s artillery and Syrian Arab Air Force targeted Hazeh, Kafr Batna, Harasta, Arbeen, Jisreen, Hammouriyah, Saqba, and Zamalka in the East Ghouta. Reports claim that the targeting of Kafr Batna killed civilians, while the targeting of Saqba reportedly killed four. The same reports also claimed that the targeting of Hazeh killed three, and targeting of Harasta two. Syrian Civil Defense (The White Helmets) stated that one of its elements was killed and several wounded by the targeting of Zamalka.

Rebel forces in the East Ghouta shelled Fiktoria bridge, Al-Muhafaza square, and Bab Touma areas of the city of Damascus. According to the Syrian Arab News Agency, one civilian was killed and 18 wounded by the shelling of the aforementioned localities.

Syrian Arab Red Crescent in cooperation with the ‘International Committee of the Red Cross and Red Crescent’ and the United Nations, delivered a humanitarian aid convoy to the city of Douma in the East Ghouta, consisting of 25 trucks.

Syrian Arab Army reportedly captured Hammouriyah in the East Ghouta from Faylaq al-Rahman. Syrian Arab Army also reportedly captured all of Al-Rayhan in the East Ghouta from Jaysh al-Islam.

Syrian Arab Army opened a crossing/corridor for civilians in the vicinity of Hammouriyah. Depending on the source, the number of civilians that went through the crossing varies between seven and thirteen thousands.

Islamic State’s Amaq Agency stated that 40 elements of the Syrian Arab Army were killed in the clashes between the two sides in Al-Qadam neighborhood, south of Damascus.

Quneitra:

Free Syrian Army’s Al-Wiyat al-Fursan clashed with Hayat Tahrir al-Sham in the village of Bariqa, south of Quneitra. The cause of the clashes is still unknown. One element of the Free Syrian Army was killed and four wounded, while one element of Hayat Tahrir al-Sham was killed and two wounded in the clashes.

Iraq

Diyala:

Islamic State ambushed elements of the Iraqi Border Police on the road between Mandali and Baldrouz (Balad Rouz). Islamic State’s Amaq Agency stated that five elements of the police were killed in the ambush.

Afghanistan

Faryab Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (Taliban) launched a large coordinated attack against the Afghan National Security Forces in Sang Zard, Yaka Toth, and Kuhna Qashlaq areas of Pashtun Kot district. Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s Al-Emarah News reported capture of a military base and five checkpoints, as well as capture of the aforementioned areas in Pashtun Kot district. Ten elements of the Afghan National Security Forces were reportedly killed and ten wounded in the encounters. Two elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan were killed and five wounded in the attack. Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan seized 11 horses, a PK machine gun, and 46 boxes of ammunition in the attack.

Kunduz Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan killed two elements of the Afghan Local Police and destroyed a vehicle, during the clashes between the two sides in the city of Kunduz. Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan seized an assault rifle and a pistol from the killed elements.

Kunar Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed four and wounded one element of the Islamic State in Dara-I-Pech district.

Kapisa Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s sniper killed an element of the Afghan National Army in Tagab district.

Nangarhar Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan raided Afghan National Army’s base in Achin district, reportedly killing two and wounding six soldiers, as well as destroying a vehicle. Similarly, two elements of the Afghan National Police were killed and a tank destroyed in an attack on a checkpoint in Khogyani district.

Logar Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan ambushed Afghan National Security Forces’ convoy in Charkh district, reportedly destroying an armored personnel carrier and a military vehicle, as well as killing seven and wounding a dozen more elements.

Khost Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s improvised explosive device reportedly killed two and wounded two elements of the Afghan National Army in Musa Khel district.

Ghazni Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan attacked Afghan National Police’s post in Chaghto district, reportedly killing two and wounding one policeman.

Farah Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed 12 elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan and destroyed a vehicle and several weapons depots and ammunition caches in Bala Buluk and Farah districts. One of the 12 killed elements is Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s commander, Mullah Raz Muhammad.

Urozgan Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed nine and wounded five elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, as well as destroyed two vehicles, a base, and several weapons depots and ammunition caches in Chora and Khas Urozgan districts. Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan reported several attacks against the Afghan National Police in Katazo area of Khas Urozgan district, killing and wounding eight elements of the police.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s snipers reportedly killed nine elements of the Afghan National Army in Garam Abad area of the city of Tarinkot, capital of Urozgan Province. One element of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan was also wounded in the encounter.

Zabul Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed two and wounded two elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Shah Joy district.

Nimruz Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan attacked two Afghan National Army’s checkpoints on Herat road in Kakarano area of Delaram district. Four elements of the Afghan National Army were reportedly killed and two armored personnel carriers destroyed in the attacks.

Helmand Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed three elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan and destroyed 60 improvised explosive devices in Kajaki district.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan raided Afghan National Army’s checkpoint in Pohanthon area of Nahri Saraj district, reportedly killing seven and wounding three soldiers. One element of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan was also killed in the encounter. Similarly, five elements of the Afghan National Army were killed in an attack on a checkpoint in Nawrozo area of Nad Ali district.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s snipers reportedly killed 12 elements of the Afghan National Security Forces in Khasar Abad, Shin Gul Charrahi, Parchaw, and Sar Band areas of Nad Ali district and in Yakchal area of Nahri Saraj district.
