Aleppo:

Turkey-backed Free Syrian Army, backed by Turkish Air and Land Forces captured six localities from the Syrian Democratic Forces’ YPG in Afrin region, as a part of the operation ‘Olive Branch’ (AR: Ghasin al-Zaytun, TR: Zeytin Dalı). Free Syrian Army captured Tell Jindires in Jindires subdistrict and Kafr Jannah camp, Kafr Jannah, Maidanki dam, Hulubi Saghir, and Mushealah in Sharran subdistrict. Al-Jaysh al-Watani al-Suri’s (Syrian National Army) spokesman, Mohammad Hamdain stated that four YPG‘s elements were captured in a camp near Arnada in Shaykh al-Hadid subdistrict. Hamdain also stated that one element of the YPG and three elements of the National Defense Forces were captured in the village of Kafr Jannah in Sharran subdistrict.

Vehicle-borne improvised explosive device exploded at the southern entrance to the city of Jarabulus, near the Free Syrian Police’s checkpoint. According to the reports, the explosion killed nine and wounded six individuals. At least three elements of the Free Syrian Police were killed and two wounded in the explosion.

Abu Amara Special Task Brigade reported that its improvised explosive device killed two Syrian Arab Army’s Brigadier Generals, Adel Yousef Saqr and Hussein Saleh, on the road from Aleppo towards Khanaser.

Jabhat Tahrir al-Sham (Ahrar al-Sham and Harakat Nour al-Deen al-Zenki) reportedly captured Saadiyah village in the western Aleppo from Hayat Tahrir al-Sham. Reports suggest that Hayat Tahrir al-Sham captured Kafr Naha from Jabhat Tahrir Suriya.

Damascus:

Syrian Arab Army’s artillery and Syrian Arab Air Force targeted Jisreen, Ain Terma, Beit Sawa, Hazeh, Harasta, Douma, Kafr Batna, Arbeen, Hammouriyah, Mesraba, and Saqba in the East Ghouta. According to the reports, eight civilians were killed in the targeting of Hazeh, while seven were killed by the targeting of Kafr Batna. Reports also suggest that the targeting of Mesraba killed five and targeting of Saqba four civilians.

Rebel forces in the East Ghouta shelled Harasta and Jaramana, as well as Bab Touma and Al-Amarah areas of the city of Damascus. According to the Syrian Arab News Agency, five civilians were wounded by the shelling of the aforementioned localities.

Syrian Arab Army made advances on Beit Sawa front against Faylaq al-Rahman and reportedly captured the locality. The only thing separating the Syrian Arab Army from splitting the East Ghouta pocket into two is Madyara. Syrian Arab Army also clashed with Jaysh al-Islam in Al-Rayhan, and with Ahrar al-Sham in Harasta.

Small demonstrations against rebel factions were held in Hammouriyah and Kafr Batna in the East Ghouta, second day in a row.

Islamic State’s Amaq Agency reported that a sniper killed an element of Hayat Tahrir al-Sham in Al-Yarmouk camp, south of Damascus.

Iraq

Baghdad:

Iraqi Security Forces conducted operations in Al-Sayed Abdullah and Al-Kanatir areas, in the vicinity of Baghdad. Security forces found an improvised explosive device and large quantities of C-4 in the aforementioned areas. Several wanted individuals were arrested during the operations.

Afghanistan

Balkh Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (Taliban) conducted an operation against the Afghan Local Police in Chahi district. Reports suggest that three elements of the Afghan Local Police were killed and four wounded in the operation. One element of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan was killed and two more wounded in the operation.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s Al-Emarah News reported that 17 elements of the Afghan National Army defected to the group in Charkand district.

Kunduz Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s snipers wounded three elements of the Afghan Local Police in Imam Sahib district.

Laghman Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed eight elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Alingar district.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan attacked Afghan National Security Forces’ convoy in Alishan district, reportedly destroying a tank, as well as killing two and wounding three elements.

Nangarhar Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed ten and wounded four elements of the Islamic State, as well as destroyed a fighting position in Nazyan and Achin districts.

Islamic State assassinated two elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Chaparhar district.

Khost Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s improvised explosive device destroyed Afghan National Army’s vehicle, killing five soldiers in Nadir Shah Kot district.

Badghis Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan overran Afghan National Police’s checkpoint in Khoshono area of Dara Boom district. Separately, Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan raided Afghan National Army’s checkpoint in Lodinyano area of Muqur district, killing one and wounding one soldier.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s improvised explosive device targeted Afghan National Army’s motorcycle in Pairozo area of Muqur district, killing one and wounding one soldier.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s sniper killed an element of the Afghan National Army in Jah Khwaja area of Murghab district.

Afghan Local Police’s element defected to the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Ab Kamari district.

Ghazni Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed four and wounded three elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Gelan district. Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan reported that three improvised explosive devices destroyed a vehicle, as well as killed six and wounded two elements of the Afghan National Security Forces in Gelan district.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan raided Afghan National Army’s post in Shalgar district, reportedly killing three and wounding two soldiers. One element of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan was also killed in the encounter.

Farah Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed four and wounded three elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Bala Buluk district.

Zabul Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed 13 and wounded seven elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, as well as found and defused five improvised explosive devices in Arghandab district.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s sniper killed two elements of the Afghan National Army in Zafar Khelo area of the city of Qalat, capital of Zabul Province.

Helmand Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed 11, wounded two, and arrested seven elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, as well as destroyed a vehicle, ten motorcycles, three headquarters, a field hospital and several weapons depots in Marjah, Jerashk, and Nahri Saraj districts.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan overran Afghan Local Police’s post in Tangano Godar area of Nawa-I-Barakzayi districts. Six elements of the Afghan Local Police were reportedly killed in the clashes for the post. Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan seized a PK machine gun and three assault rifles from the post.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s snipers reportedly killed eight elements of the Afghan National Police in Hazargano area of Nad Ali district.

Islamic State reportedly killed one and wounded one element of the Balochistan Police in the city of Quetta, provincial capital of Balochistan.
