Military events/news are listed below by the governorates:
Turkey-backed Free Syrian Army, backed by Turkish Air and Land Forces captured four localities from the Syrian Democratic Forces’ YPG in Afrin region, as a part of the operation ‘Olive Branch’ (AR: Ghasin al-Zaytun, TR: Zeytin Dalı). Free Syrian Army captured Firkan in Sharran subdistrict, Tell Sallor in Jindires subdistrict, and Qarah Baba and Khirbet Saluki in Rajo subdistrict. After today’s advances, Free Syrian Army connected Rajo-held areas with Adah Manli “pocket”. Free Syrian Army also ambushed Syrian Democratic Forces in Jindires area, killing five elements of the YPG and one element of the YPJ, according to the footage released.
Syrian Arab News Agency reported that Turkey-backed Free Syrian Army and Turkish Land Forces’ shelling of the city of Afrin wounded five civilians.
National Defense Forces and affiliated militias sent second batch of fighters to YPG-held areas of Afrin. Around 400 National Defense Forces’ elements present in Afrin are supposed to be deployed against Turkey-backed Free Syrian Army on Rajo and Jindires fronts.
Clashes between Hayat Tahrir al-Sham and Jabhat Tahrir Suriya (Ahrar al-Sham and Harakat Nour al-Deen al-Zenki) have spread to Idlib governorate. Jabhat Tahrir Suriya, backed by Suqur al-Sham reportedly captured Ariha, Tramla, Al-Rami, Wadi al-Dhayf, Maarat al-Numaan, Kafr Rumah, and part of Marayan village from Hayat Tahrir al-Sham. Hayat Tahrir al-Sham’s commander Fawaz al-Asfar was reportedly killed during the battles for Maarat al-Numaan. Hayat Tahrir al-Sham’s Ibaa News Agency reported that two elements of the group were killed and three wounded in an attack on the group’s checkpoint in Maarat al-Numaan.
Hayat Tahrir al-Sham captured two elements of the Islamic State in Ard al-Zarzour village.
Unknown gunmen kidnapped Hayat Tahrir al-Sham’s element, Abu Abdul Rahman al-Maghrebi in Balshun village.
Syrian Arab Army’s artillery, Syrian Arab Air Force, and Russian Air Force targeted Douma, Saqba, Jisreen, Hammouriyah, Harasta, and Kafr Batna in the East Ghouta. According to the reports, 46 civilians were reportedly killed and several dozen wounded by the targeting of the aforementioned localities.
Rebel forces in the East Ghouta shelled Jaramana and Al-Qasaa, Bab al-Salam, Al-Sabaea Bahrat, Barzeh, and Abu Rummaneh areas of the city of Damascus. According to the Syrian Arab News Agency, nine civilians were wounded by the shelling of the aforementioned localities.
Improvised explosive device targeted Free Syrian Army’s vehicle on the road between Kafr Shams and Aqraba. The explosion killed three elements of the Free Syrian Army. The casualties were confirmed by the rebel “Daraa Martyrs Documentation Office”.
‘House of Justice in Houran’ executed two individuals convicted of murdering a man in Al-Maliha al-Sharqiya.
Afghan National Security Forces killed five and wounded three elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (Taliban) in Pashtun Kot district.
Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan assassinated Afghan Local Police’s commander Jalil-e-Kour and another element of the police in Khwaja Do Ko district.
Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan assassinated Afghan Local Police’s commander Alim Khan and another element of the police in Charbolak district.
Afghan National Security Forces killed two and arrested one element of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in the province. Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan reported that it repelled Afghan National Security Forces’ offensive at the outskirts of Mihtarlam city, killing four and wounded three elements.
Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan assassinated Afghan Local Police’s commander Shafiq in the city of Mihtarlam, capital of Laghman Province.
Afghan National Security Forces arrested two elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan and destroyed three drug factories in Khogyani district.
Local authorities in the province found a mass grave in Achin district, reportedly containing remains of ten civilians killed by the Islamic State in the district.
Islamic State raided Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s positions in Bati Kot district and reportedly killed two elements of the group.

Maidan Wardak Province:
Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s improvised explosive device wounded an element of the Afghan National Army in Saydabad district.
Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s improvised explosive device wounded Afghan Local Police’s commander Zahir in Zazi district.
Afghan National Security Forces killed four and arrested one element of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, as well as destroyed four vehicles and several weapons depots and ammunition caches in Gulran district.
Afghan National Security Forces arrested four elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Charsada district and recovered three assault rifles previously captured by the group.
Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan wounded former governor of Nawa district, Juma Gul in the city of Ghazni.
Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s improvised explosive device destroyed Afghan National Army’s tank in Barmal district, killing five and wounding three soldiers.
Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan engaged Afghan National Security Forces’ reinforcements arriving in Gerani and Ganj Abad areas of Bala Buluk district. Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan claimed that several elements of the Afghan National Security Forces and five elements of the United States Army were killed in the encounter, as well as two wounded.
Afghan National Security Forces killed an element of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Deh Rawud district.
Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s sniper killed an element of the Afghan National Army in Atish area of Mizan district.
Afghan National Security Forces killed three and wounded two elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Nad Ali district.
