Military events/news are listed below by the governorates:
Turkey-backed Free Syrian Army, backed by Turkish Air and Land Forces captured six localities from the Syrian Democratic Forces’ YPG in Afrin region, as a part of the operation ‘Olive Branch’ (AR: Ghasin al-Zaytun, TR: Zeytin Dalı). Free Syrian Army captured Dourqa village in Bulbul subdistrict, Sharbanli, Shadia, and Kharab Samaq villages in Rajo subdistrict, Juqla Tahtani in Shaykh Hadid subdistrict, and Diwan Fawqani village in Jindires subdistrict. After these advances, Free Syrian Army linked Rajo and Shaykh Hadid fronts. Free Syrian Army is also in control of yesterday disputed Qudah village in Rajo subdistrict.

Russian Armed Forces’ cruise missiles targeted the headquarters of the Free Syrian Army’s Jaysh al-Nasr (Army of Victory) in the village of Tremla. Reports suggest that four elements of the group were trapped under the rubble after the attack. The cruise missiles also targeted elements of the Syrian Civil Defense (The White Helmets) arriving at the headquarters after the first explosion. Syrian Civil Defense stated that one of its elements was killed and five wounded by the explosions.
Turkish Armed Forces’ convoy entered Syria through Kafr Lusin and headed towards Al-Sarman east of Maarat al-Numaan, in order to establish an observation point in the area. Turkish Armed Forces will establish the observation point near Al-Sarman silos.
Hayat Tahrir al-Sham’s director of media relations, Imad al-Deen Mujahid denied yesterday’s reports about the group selling wreckages of the Syrian Arab Air Forces’ helicopters from Taftanaz Military Airbase to Hama for scrap metal. Hayat Tahrir al-Sham’s Shura council member, Abu al-Fath al-Farghali also denied yesterday’s claims that the group cleared Taftanaz Military Airbase in order to allow Turkish Armed Forces to establish an observation point in it.
Left over Islamic State’s improvised explosive device wounded a civilian in Sanidah neighborhood of Al-Kashkia in the eastern Deir al-Zour.
Syrian Arab Army’s artillery and Syrian Arab Air Force targeted Harasta, Douma, Al-Nashabiyah, Arbeen, and Al-Shifuniyah in the East Ghouta. According to the Syrian Civil Defense (The White Helmets), six civilians were killed and 15 wounded, including two elements of the organization in the targeting of Douma. Syrian Civil Defense also stated that four civilians were wounded by the targeting of Al-Nashabiyah.
Islamic State’s Amaq Agency reported that an Islamic State’s sniper killed an element of Hayat Tahrir al-Sham in Al-Yarmouk camp, south of Damascus.
Two factions of the Free Syrian Army reportedly clashed in the city of Al-Sanamayn. Reports suggest that several civilians were killed and wounded in the clashes.
Islamic State-affiliated Jaysh Khalid ibn al-Walid ambushed Free Syrian Army’s Fawj al-Midfaeiat al-Awl (1st Artillery Regiment) on the road near Al-Sheikh Saad. According to the reports, five elements of the Free Syrian Army were wounded, while one element of Jaysh Khalid ibn al-Walid was killed and several wounded in the encounter. Islamic State’s Amaq Agency reported that four elements of the Free Syrian Army were killed in the ambush.
Afghan National Security Forces killed five and wounded eight elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (Taliban) in the province.
Islamic State launched an attack against the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s positions in Chaparhar district. Two elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan were wounded in the attack.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan attacked Afghan National Security Forces’ convoy on the highway between Herat and Kandahar in Aziz Abad area of Shindand district. According to the reports, three fuel tankers were destroyed in the attack.
Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s improvised explosive device destroyed Afghan National Army’s tank in Shindand district. The explosion reportedly killed three and wounded four elements of the Afghan National Army.
Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan wounded an element of the Afghan Local Police, during clashes between the two in Paysar area of Taywara district.
Afghan National Security Forces killed one and wounded one element of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Andar district.
Afghan National Security Forces killed two and wounded four elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Pusht Rod district.
Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan overran Afghan National Army’s checkpoint in Do Rahi area of Bala Buluk district. Nine elements of the Afghan National Army were killed during the clashes, while the remaining elements withdrew from the checkpoint. Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan seized two PK machine guns, an RPG launcher, and nine assault rifles from the checkpoint.
Afghan National Security Forces killed five and wounded seven elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, as well as destroyed three fighting positions in Chora district and the city of Tarinkot.
Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan raided Afghan National Army’s checkpoint in Seydano area of Jerashk district, killing five soldiers. Separately, three elements of the Afghan Local Police were killed and one element of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan wounded during clashes in Tangano Gudar area of Nawa-I-Barakzayi district.
Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s improvised explosive device destroyed Afghan National Army’s armored personnel carrier in Khalil Ghondi area of Khakrez district.
Afghan National Army’s element surrendered to the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Spin Boldak district.
